  • Ribbon cuttings are a great way to celebrate and bring the community to your business!

    Why have a ribbon cutting?

There are many reasons to celebrate with a ribbon cutting. Below are some ideas, but are not limited to:

    • Grand Opening
    • Grand Re-Opening
    • Relocation
    • Remodel
    • New Ownership
    • Anniversary

What should I expect at a ribbon cutting?

Each ribbon cutting will vary depending on each business - some businesses provide tours of their location, some businesses provide samplings of their food and beverages. There will be speeches from the business representatives, Chamber of Commerce staff, as well as representatives from the Concord City Council and local elected official representatives.

You will also get to see our large scissors!

    Who attends ribbon cuttings?

Again, it depends on each business. At most ribbon cuttings, you can expect the Chamber staff, Ambassadors, and Board members, representatives from the business/organization hosting the ribbon cutting, along with City of Concord Councilmembers, and representatives from various local elected official offices.

Do you have to be a Chamber member for the Chamber to host a ribbon cutting?

Yes you do, this is one of the many benefits of being a Chamber member.

Are the scissors really over 5 feet tall?

YES! They are 68.5 inches, and are the talk about town.

How do I schedule a ribbon cutting?

It's easy! You can review the guidelines, complete and submit the request form found HERE. Once the staff receives your request, they will review it and contact you for confirmation.

If you have questions about scheduling your ribbon cutting, please contact Khayla Kirkland, Events Coordinator via email HERE or by phone at (925) 685-1181.
