The P.S.P.I. Difference

Pacific States Petroleum, Inc. was founded by Kevin Maddox in May of 2001. It all started with one fuel truck, a small location in Pleasant Hill and a big idea. The idea was to deliver smaller than usual quantities of fuel to customer locations while providing unparalleled customer service. Kevin took this idea, applied a little luck and a lot of work to create a winning formula for PSPI customers. Part of that formula was to create meaningful customer service by giving a voice to our team members, because we believe that nothing resonates better than a team member who is invested in the process. This helps to provide for a positive customer experience where a dedicated team and highly responsive solutions are only a call away.

Small petroleum companies cannot match our capabilities and resources, and large petroleum companies cannot match our response times and focused approach.

PSPI has grown to cover all of California and beyond with locations in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, San Diego, Sacramento, Stockton, Concord, San Jose, Fresno, and Reno, NV. Our ever-expanding fleet of over 75 trucks is used to meet the unique needs of our customers.

100% Employee owned

As of January 1st, 2021, PSPI implemented an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) where 100% of PSPI’s stock was put in a trust to be distributed over time to team members meeting the general criteria below. Each qualified team member becomes a partial owner of the company, with stock being distributed each pay period based on time of service and rate of pay.
