You will be responsible for managing our Lead Management system designed by Salesforce specifically for Farmers Insurance.  Position pays a competitive base with a generous commission structure that works well for those who are disciplined and follow our proven sales process.     Development and Advancement Opportunities

    This position provides the opportunity to advance to an Insurance Protégé Agent within the first 6-12 months.  The main purpose of the Protege program is to work with the agent who has experienced the ins and outs of running a Farmers Agency. You will learn to:

    • Meet new business production goals and objectives as established
    • Successfully solicit for new business via telephone, networking, and other lead sources
    • Develop and build your leadership competencies, including:
      • The ability to delegate
      • Manage and engage staff
      • Inspire and develop others to enable them to achieve their goals

     

    Salary Range: $40000.00 - $65000.00 per year

    Responsibilities

    As the New Business Account Executive, you will be working directly with the lead agent to build strong relationships to meet new business production goals and objectives. As a full-time sales representative you will help individuals, families, and small businesses secure their tomorrows. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

    • Develop insurance quotes, make sales presentations, and close sales. 
    • Develop ongoing networking relationships with Real Estate Agents, Mortgage Lenders, Title Companies, Property Managers, Auto Dealers, etc.
    • Proactively solicit and market to businesses and community events
    • Strong follow-up skills and initiative to get things done
    • Perform outbound calling
    • Manage marketing lists
    • Cross-sell/up-sells new and existing customers.

    Requirements

    As a New Business Account Executive, you will need to demonstrate a willingness to learn, be intuitive and resourceful. Qualifications include:

    • Excellent follow-up and multi-tasking skills
    • Self starter with a strong sense of urgency and initiative to get things done
    • Being an ambitious individual motivated by opportunity for advancement
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrate ability to build strong relationships from a ‘cold’ start
    • Prior sales experience preferred
    • High school diploma or GED is required, Bachelor's degree preferred
    • A Property & Casualty license is preferred but will train good individual
    • Career minded applicants desired.
