Inspired by the mission of the De La Salle Christian Brothers, De La Salle Academy provides a transformative, life-changing, and accessible Catholic educational experience for promising boys from underserved families in the greater Concord area. De La Salle Academy works with philanthropists and community partners to create an opportunity for students, graduates, and families to have access to a quality education that might not otherwise be available to them due to geographic or socioeconomic factors.
The Graphic Design Intern will support the Director of Philanthropy by visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts, and photos. This team member helps shape the visual aspects of website, newsletters, and more. DLSA is in a year of growth and if focused on branding the Academy to better differentiate ourselves from local schools. We envision the Graphic Design Intern to spend a few hours a month creating infographics for holidays, work with the Director of Philanthropy on the layout of our end of year appeal and any other design work that can take us to the next level. The Graphic Design intern will be responsible for producing visual work/ infographics that will be published on De La Salle Academy’s Instagram, Facebook, and on published materials. The school seeks a volunteer who can promote the school’s Lasallian Catholic mission while through close collaboration with the Director of Philanthropy and other relevant staff. By raising more awareness about the work at DLSA, this position supports the School’s effort to build sustainable and innovative programs that create more equitable opportunities for educational success and purposeful futures for its students and graduates. This is a part-time, volunteer role. It can begin immediately.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
• Partner with the Director of Philanthropy to brainstorm new ideas and project opportunities
• Obtain input from Director of Philanthropy ensuring designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations
• Work independently and cooperatively on multiple projects with marketing team, meeting deadlines and budget constraints, and scheduling project implementation based on workload, which may include five or more simultaneous projects
• Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns
As a result of working as Graphic Design Intern, the volunteer will have the opportunity to acquire and further develop their communication skills, time management, attention to detail, adaptability, and customer service skills.

Requirements and Skills: The ideal candidates will display: • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art, or similar discipline • Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills • 2+ years experience (academic and professional) with design software, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc. • Proven experience with graphic design, with a strong portfolio of work • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively • Willingness to learn more about the DLSA mission and its programs
