Celebrate Valentine's Day at the Concord Chamber's Women's Networking Luncheon! This month we will learn about heart health from Dr. Cynthia Xioqian Zhang, MD, of John Muir Health.

Dr. Zhang grew up in New York, New York. She earned her undergraduate degree in New York from Columbia College, Columbia University. Dr. Zhang attended Medical School at SUNY Downstate Medical School in NY, followed by residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital, University Hospital of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She had Cardiology Fellowship training at UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Jersey, and then pursued Advanced Cardiac Imaging Fellowship training at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, University Hospital of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiovascular CT and Vascular Interpretation.
Dr. Zhang practiced for a few years in New York, NY before moved with her family to the Bay Area in 2015. She has been with the John Muir Health system for almost 3 years. She has offices in Pleasanton, San Ramon and Walnut Creek and has privileges in all the local hospitals including the ValleyCare Hospital, San Ramon Regional Medical Center and JMH in Walnut Creek and Concord. She has special interests in structural heart diseases, and is a member of the Mitral Clip and Watchman in JMH. She is also a strong advocate for Preventive Cardiology and Women’s Heart Health.
Dr. Zhang enjoys hiking, dancing, traveling and spending time with her family. Dr. Zhang is fluent in Chinese.
