COMMITTEE INFORMATION

As a Chamber member, you will derive much more from your investment when you get involved. If you have just an hour or two each month and want to expand your visibility with the local business community, consider teaming up with one of these Chamber programs:

AMBASSADORS

Kevin Hennessy, Committee Chair


Meets the second Wednesday of each month
Chamber office, 12:00 p.m.
Ambassadors are the "Face" of the Chamber. They work with Chamber staff to staff our monthly mixers, quarterly new member receptions, and attend grand openings and ribbon cuttings. They also help us in member relations with monthly new member calls.

AVIATION/TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE

Meets as needed at the Concord Chamber Office. The Aviation/Transportation Committee reviews, monitors, recommends and implements Aviation/Transportation policies and strategy that support the goals and objectives of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce.

BUSINESS EDUCATION COMMITTEE

Joanne Durkee, Committee Chair

Meets the second Thursday of each month
8:00 am, at the Chamber office.
The Business/Education Committee promotes and facilitates the involvement of business in schools, works to increase educator and student awareness of the business environment, and provides learning opportunities for business leaders, educators and students.

CRAB FEED AND AUCTION COMMITTEE

The Crab Feed and Auction Committee helps plan one of the Chamber's biggest and best-attended events, our Annual Crab Feed and Auction, which takes place in the spring.

GOVERNMENT/ECONOMIC POLICY COMMITTEE

Tim McGallian, Committee Chair

Meets the third Thursday of each month, 12:00, at the Chamber office. The Government Policy Committee is the public policy and governmental advocacy arm of the Chamber. The Committee develops strong working relationships with elected officials, their staffs, and municipal boards and commissions. The Committee also analyzes business legislation at all levels of government and advocates the Chamber position on these issues.

GREEN BUSINESS COMMITTEE

Nicole Adler, Committee Chair

The mission of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce's Green Business Committee is to promote the interest of businesses that are committed and engaged in environmentally responsible operations and practices, known as green business practices. NAVAL WEAPONS STATION RE-USE ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The Naval Weapons Station Re-Use Advisory Committee meets on an "as needed" basis  at  the Chamber office. The mission statement of this committee is: To provide leadership in the development of a Re-Use Plan that is economically sustainable and fiscally responsible that results in a healthy, vital and united community.

 

SENIOR EVENT COMMITTEE

The Senior Event Committee helps plan our Senior Resource Expo held in the spring. This event helps our chamber members who offer products and services for seniors showcase their business to the public and to educate the community about all the senior resources that are available.
