Minamoto Restaurant is approximately 2,600 square feet, contains seating for approximately 90 guests. While skilled sushi chefs serve freshly made sushi directly onto customers’ plates over the sushi bar, table seating will offer family-friendly dining environment for everyone to enjoy. Minamoto’s food has its strong roots in authentic Japanese cooking tradition, but is tailored to the taste of Americans. Its extensive menu includes Minamoto Signature Rolls, Original Ramen and Izakaya Style dishes.

It was Nanako’s parents, Shoichi and Mieko Imanaka who started Kushi Tsuru in 1978 in San Francisco’s Japan Center and it became an instant success. In 1982, the Imanaka family opened Isobune™ Sushi, which introduced the first “sushi boat” restaurant in the U.S. in order to achieve their mission of “offering high quality sushi truly affordable for everyone.” With over 35 years of restaurant business experience in San Francisco, Nanako has accumulated knowledge, skills, and expertise in hospitality to best serve the community.
