The Workforce Development Board
of Contra Costa County is creating a competitive and
self-reliant workforce, a thriving job market and a high quality
of life by developing and managing
a responsive workforce development
system. By meeting the needs of the business community, the system
helps ensure the county’s
economic vitality as well as
being attentive to individual job seekers, workers desiring to
advance their careers and youth preparing
to enter the workforce.
The Workforce Development Board offers the following programs
and services to Contra Costa businesses and residents:
EastBay Works – The One-Stop Business
and Career Centers, overseen
by the Workforce Development Board, offer comprehensive workforce
development and labor market information,
trained staff, and a host of
other no-cost services. The One-Stop Center is where businesses
and other employers can post job orders
and receive assistance with employment
and training needs. Job seekers and workers find resources needed
to plan or advance a
career or simply to find a job.

Small Business Development
Center – Businesses and entrepreneurs

The Contra Costa Community College
District’s Regional Training Institute (RTI) is committed
to meeting the training needs of employers in Contra Costa county
in order to
contribute to development of
a world-class regional workforce and to enhance regional economic
development. They provide high
quality, customized performance-based
training programs at community or business sites, at RTI’s site,
or through RTI’s web site.
